Comprehensive
eye examinations
Dr.
Stikeleather recommends comprehensive eye health examinations on an annual
basis. Your eye exam begins with a thorough history. We take time to listen
to you so that we can understand your unique visual needs. Your eye examination
will include special testing to rule out neurological
conditions and glaucoma, evaluation of muscle balance and focusing ability,
refraction to determine your glasses prescription, measurement of ocular
pressure to rule out glaucoma, and thorough eye health evaluation through
dilated pupils to rule out retinal problems and cataracts. Dr Stikeleather
will strive to educate you about any ocular condition that is detected.
He will present all of your options and help you decide if glasses, contacts,
or laser vision correction are best for you.
Laser vision consultation
and management
Dr.
Stikeleather is certified in the co-management of LASIK and PRK. He experienced
LASIK first hand in October of 1999 and is extremely happy with the results.
During your comprehensive eye examination, Dr. Stikeleather will present
Laser vision correction as an option if you are a candidate. If you choose
to pursue laser vision correction, we will refer you to an excellent surgeon.
We will provide all of you pre-operative and post-operative care right
in our office. Dr. Stikeleather is a TLC
